Solo Exhibition “Beautiful Seasons”, Richmond, Canada
In this solo exhibition “Beautiful Seasons“ Anastasia was exploring different seasons along with various weather conditions using a vibrant colorful palette and thick loaded brushstrokes. The presence of impasto in her paintings emphasizes the dynamism and movement in nature.
For Anastasia, creating art is being present in the moment. Her mode of perception of this world is made through a direct experience of the immediate presence. Her goal is coming back to the ultimate source, which is nature, and to ourselves. Anastasia believe that nature and natural forms are the pathways to contemplation and creation.
Anastasia sees the nature as a teacher, who makes her investigate shape, color and ephemeral movements of the environment. All her paintings start from nature. She was looking at scenery of European landscape for many years. Today Anastasia is exploring the stunning nature of British Columbia and West Coast as her subject matter.
