“Lost Lake”, oil on canvas, 28” W x 22” H x 2” D

I painted this oil painting after travelling to Whistler in 2018 where I found the beautiful Lost lake.

In our lives we sometimes lose the connection with our inner world, and it is important sometimes to just pause, reflect and reconnect with our inner world. I decided to create this oil painting as an allegory of losing and finding ourselves in life. ❤️

The oil painting is full of sumptuous and vibrant colours. It is pastous and multilayered with brushstrokes loaded with oil paint. The texture of the painting is rich and thick as I was using Italian technique impasto to create this beautiful piece.
